Synopsis
The Butterfly Lovers, also known as The Assassin’s Blade or Jiandie (Jià ndié; literally “Sword Butterfly”), is a 2008 Hong Kong romance-wuxia film directed by Jingle Ma and starring Wu Chun, Charlene Choi and Hu Ge.It is based on the Chinese legend of the Butterfly Lovers – considered the Chinese Romeo & Juliet, but in a wuxia setting.
